Women Can Drive in Saudi Arabia

King Salman has announced Royal decree on Tuesday that it would allow #Saudiwomen to drive, ending a long-lasting rule that has become a global sign of the domination of women.

This new rule will be effected in June of next year 2018, This news was broadcast on state television and in a simultaneous media event in Washington. The decision highlights the damage that the no-driving policy has done to the kingdom’s international reputation and its hopes for a public relations benefit from the improvement.

The opinions have also been boosted by “grave concerns” felt by several women when riding with taxi drivers.

Allowing women to drive will result in saving at least 500,000 jobs held by foreign drivers and subsequent economic and social benefits for the nation,”
